VALOR is the Los Angeles Fire Department’s annual awards ceremony honoring exemplary LAFD members for outstanding service above and beyond the call of duty.
Experience an inspiring evening celebrating the extraordinary men and women of the Los Angeles Fire Department. Enjoy a cocktail reception, dinner on the rooftop of BMO Stadium, and a memorable awards program honoring firefighters who respond to our city’s 9-1-1 calls with unwavering dedication. Guests will have the chance to meet these heroes, explore LAFD vehicles, and experience special fire department activities.
The evening will take place on the rooftop of BMO Stadium, with stunning views of the DTLA skyline and the iconic NASA Shuttle at the California Science Center.

FUNDS RAISED: All proceeds raised through corporate sponsorship, ticket sales, and the silent auction will benefit the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation in purchasing life-saving tools and equipment for our LAFD firefighters.
This year’s funding priorities include:
- Single Layer Personal Protective Equipment to reduce exposure to carcinogens.
- Video Aided Dispatch Technology that provides state-of-the-art innovations that will enhance the accuracy of dispatching appropriate resources, improving response times and public safety.
- Advance Provider Response Unit (APRU) Medical Equipment and Medications to provide on-site care, reducing ER congestion, improving patient outcomes, and lowering healthcare costs.
